Jose Aviel came to AHLE with his older brother Hector in February 2018. They were abandoned by their mother and lived in a situation of extreme poverty. They ate once a day when their father could provide food. Homeless, they wandered from place to place. The boys roaming the streets were at a high risk to join the gangs as did their older brother. Jose Aviel is adapting quickly and is happy to be at AHLE. His birthday is April 22, 2007.
