	Name: Roger Birthdate: July 20, 1997 Joined us: January 17, 2007	Roger is the oldest of four children. He initially lived with his grandparents for a while and then with a friend of his mother's. A government official took interest in Roger's well-being and presented him to the orphanage for admission. Roger loves to swim.
	Name: Marvin Birthdate: May 15, 1998 Joined us: February 13, 2006	Marvin and his brother, Juan Carlos, were brought to the orphanage by their older sister. She had tried to care for them but was not able to. Marvin is a quiet child but has a big smile. If Marvin had some money, he would give it all to the poor.
	Name: José Birthdate: July 7, 1998 Joined us: June 30, 2005	José and his brother Marcio are completely adorable. He has improved so much since coming to the orphanage. He is punctual for his classes and he collaborates well with the other children. Jose likes to study and his favorite subject is mathematics.
	Name: Elvin Antonio Caceros Aguilar Birthdate: September 9, 1998 Joined us: January 13, 2009	Elvin lived with his father and mother and 3 siblings. They were unable to feed or cloth him and he ended up on the living on the street until he went to a shelter in the city. He is a cooperative and highly motivated child and was transferred to our facility for permanent placement. He has big green eyes and loves to go to school and study. He has a severe old injury in his right lower leg and therefore can not be as physically active as the others.
	Name: Hector Danilo Lara Birthdate: September 10, 1998 Joined us: January 2009	Hector states that his father would cut sugar cane once per year and that his mother washed clothes to make money. He slept in a bed with his 2 brothers. Because of extreme poverty in his family, he was placed in a shelter. He loves school and is in the 3rd grade. Hector would like to be a policeman when he grows up. When asked about his life, he said the happiest day of his life was the day he got a pair of shoes. He became very quiet and dropped his head when asked about any sad memories of his life. He said he did not want to talk about them.
	Name: Moises Jesus Birthdate: April 19, 1999 Joined us: January, 2008	Moises has one brother who is 3 1/2 years older than he. Moises' favorite subject is Spanish and he loves to draw houses, cars and flowers. He lived with his parents initially and was eventually brought to our orphanage.
	Name: Manuel Birthdate: May 13, 1999 Joined us: March 19, 2004	Manuel was being cared for by his grandmother. He is obedient and keeps his bed and area in good order. He would like to be a truck driver when he grows up and would like to help the poor if he had any extra money.
	Name: Jonathan Birthdate: September 29, 1999 Joined us: February 17, 2007	Jonathan is a very small child. He has one sister. Jonathan is a quiet and timid child who does not speak much. Jonathan would like to be a teacher when he grows up.
	Name: Elkin Birthdate: October 22, 1999 Joined us: July 10, 2007	Elkin loves to play hide and seek and is a very smart child. He is outgoing and very affectionate.
	Name: Kevin Edgardo Delsid Vasquez Birthdate: unknown Joined us: January 2009	Kevin is a beautiful child with a bright, big smile. He is quiet and shy but loves to be with people. He is from a small town, is 9 years old and in the 3rd grade. He is one of 6 children. He loves to study, especially Spanish and science. He does not live to play football and would rather read. He also says he loves to eat vegetables.
	Name: Marcio Birthdate: January 14, 2000 Joined us: June 30, 2005	Marcio was living near where the orphanage is located. Like his brother, José, the local authorities initiated his admission to the orphanage. He is described by the staff as a very special, sensible kid and he is doing well. If Marcio had money, he would help his mother and help the poor. He likes to study and his favorite subject is Spanish.
	Name: Santos Birthdate: August 11, 2000 Joined us: January 29, 2007	Santos is a timid, calm child. Santos likes to play soccer and would like to be a security guard when he grows up.
	Name: Dany Fabricio Veltran Birthdate: October 29, 2002 Joined us: January 2009	When Danny was a year old his mother “gifted him” to her brother who was unable to care for him. He is 6 years old and has never been to school. He is a very happy and adaptive child. The whole orphanage, including the boys and the staff, watch out for him all the time. His smile would make you think he has the perfect life. Just looking at him makes one happy.
